A Modified Single-Stage LED Driver Based on Integrated Buck-Boost and Two Switches Flyback Converter

چکیده :
The significant increase in electrical energy consumption, especially in lighting systems, highlights the need to use optimization methods in energy consumers more than ever. This paper proposes a modified single-stage LED driver that uses a buck-boost converter in the input stage for power factor correction and a two-switch flyback converter (TSFC) to drive the light-emitting diode (LED) in the front-end stage. By integrating both stages in the proposed topology, the number of components is reduced. In addition, the ripple and DC-link voltage range can be extended over a wide range, which reduces the need for large DC-link capacitor capacitance. The operating modes of the proposed topology are theoretically analyzed and verified through simulation at 20 W using PSIM software. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in reducing energy consumption in lighting systems.
