Sliding Mode-based Extremum Seeking Control for Maximum Power Point Tracking for Photovoltaic Systems Considering Insolation and Ambient Temperature Variations

چکیده :
This paper presents a novel sliding mode-based extremum seeking control (SMESC) method for the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) problem for the solar photovoltaic (PV) system. Generally, rapid solar radiation and temperature variations make the MPPT problem more challenging in the solar PV system. The proposed SMESC method solves the MPPT problem and is easy to implement due to its model-free nature. In addition, simulation results show the proposed method reduces the oscillations around the maximum power point of the PV system more significantly compared to the P&O method.
