چکیده :
Abstract The efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) modules decreases with increasing temperature of the PV. Therefore, the cooling of PV modules is very important and necessary in order to increase their efficiency and longevity, especially in concentrated modes. In this study, a hybrid concentrated photovoltaic/thermal (CPV/T) system was made using compound parabolic concentrators (CPC) and a combined cooling mechanism, consisting of a box containing Nano-PCM and water pipes. A PV module was used with a slope, proportional to the latitude of the region. The CPCs were installed along the lengths of the PV module. In order to decrease the PV temperature, water passes through the copper pipes inside the Nano-PCM box mounted on the backside of PV module and causes improving the electrical efficiency of the proposed system in parallel with producing hot water. In addition to PV module cooling, increasing the irradiance intensity also enhance its electrical output. The proposed system was investigated with three solar irradiance concentration ratios (CR) of 1, 1.5 and 2 to concentrate the solar irradiance on the surface of PV module. The electrical power improvement in these CRs were equivalent to 7.85, 54.8 and 100.78%, respectively.
