چکیده :
In street lighting applications, reliable and efficient LED drivers are critical for ensuring long system lifespan, minimizing light flicker, and maintaining high energy efficiency. Conventional single-stage LED drivers often rely on large electrolytic capacitors to reduce output current ripple; however, their limited lifespan significantly undermines the durability of the entire system. While multi-stage LED drivers enable the use of more reliable non-electrolytic capacitors, they increase component count, complexity, and control challenges. To overcome these limitations, this paper proposes a non-isolated integrated LED driver for 120W street lighting applications, combining boost, buck-boost, and buck DC-DC converters with a shared power switch. This design reduces the number of components compared to conventional multi-stage drivers, achieves a high-power factor, extends driver lifespan by eliminating electrolytic capacitors, and simplifies control circuitry. The performance of the proposed driver is verified through simulation and experimental results, demonstrating improved reliability, reduced complexity, and enhanced operational efficiency, making it well-suited for modern street lighting systems.
