Loss Reduction of Distribution Network by Optimal Reconfiguration and Capacitor Placement Using Cuckoo and Cultural Algorithms

چکیده :
This paper presents a method to minimize the losses and improve the voltage profile of distribution networks by reconfiguring the network and optimal capacitor placement using meta-heuristic Cuckoo and Cultural algorithms. The technique of opening and closing of the network switches is used to change the structure of the distribution network in such a way that first, all the switches are closed. Then, they are opened one by one, and each one has minimum losses, then this state of the switches is considered the best. The topology will be selected. Optimum placement and size of the capacitor improve the voltage profile and minimizes the losses of the distribution network. The proposed algorithm is tested and verified on IEEE 69-bus network.
